Alabama Runaway
At Thunderbird our main focus is performance horses. That doesn’t mean that’s all they can be.
This is Alabama Runaway jumping in Alberta.
Alabama Wiki
Alabama Wiki is a 2007 gelding out of High Hickory Dots by Alabama Okie
Sharra has been running Wiki. He is a 1D money earner as well as a money winner in MRCA and CCA. Sharra will continue to run Wiki until he is sold.
Congratulations to Sharra and Alabama Wiki for winning the saddle at the 2015 Casey Brown Memorial weekend barrel jackpot.
Hickory Bay Tally / Sharra
Together, Sharra and “Elvis” have earned money and championships in team penning, cowhorse, versatility and barrels (consistently finishing in the first D). He is also used on the farm to gather and move cattle and teach kids riding lessons.
“Elvis” has been sold to the Lockie family. We would like to wish Melayna all the best of luck in the future!
Ricochet Mac
Devon Porter purchased this gelding we raised and started and has had great success with him. He was named the 2016 CCA Haze Horse of the Year. Their family use “Mac” for heading, heeling, calf roping and barrel racing.
Alabama Da Dunn
Devon also purchased this gelding from us. He qualified for the 2016 Manitoba Finals Rodeo aboard “Tiger”
Alabama Lollipop
This great little mare qualified Erin Hagan for the 2016 Manitoba Rodeo Finals. Good luck to Erin and Madonna in the future.
High Style Scott
We feel “Scott” is going to be a great 1D horse. Sharra has him started at jackpots and he won the 3D Manitoba bred saddle at the 2016 Manitoba Barrel Racing Finals. Another great gelding we’re offering for sale.
Alabama Spark
Although he didn’t own him, Spark carried Devon Porter to the win in Steer Wrestling at the 2016 CCA Finals.
Alabama Twix
Alabama Twix is a 2011 gelding out of Hick Hock by Alabama Okie
Jeremy Buhler purchased Twix from us in the fall of 2015. He did a fabulous job with him winning the 2016 Canadian National Team Roping Futurity Heel Horse Champion title. This was especially awesome since he won all five rounds! Good Luck to Jeremy and Twix in the future.
